What is lighting planning?
Workspaces
Dim light tires the eyes and makes it difficult to concentrate. At Perdix we believe that more good light would be good for many people. If you want to work with concentration, you need optimal light. A glare-free lighting situation is important. This is achieved through indirect light. There are standards and values for ideal illuminance. Based on experience and our own tests, we recommend 700 to 1000lx.
bedroom
Of course, we don’t need light to sleep. But studies show that nowhere do we spend more time than in the bedroom. It is therefore worthwhile to adapt the lighting conditions there to our individual needs. Because light influences our psyche – especially in the sensitive moments in the morning and evening. And if you want to relax and unwind, warm white light and good lighting control help.
Living and dining room
Living and dining rooms are the center of every house and every apartment. It therefore makes sense to bring functionality and atmosphere into harmony – with the help of an intelligent, individualized lighting concept. Depending on the architectural conditions and use of these rooms, creating a lighting concept can be easy or a real challenge.
Entrance area
Entrance and hallway are the business card of a home or business. This is where the first impression is created, a feeling is conveyed. The light is crucial. Light temperature
The color of light has a decisive effect on the mood in a room. Depending on the color of the light, the same environment appears completely different. The color of many Perdix lights* can be easily changed with a switch: warm white (3000K) or neutral white (4000K) – you decide according to your mood.

Dimmability
With the help of lighting control we change the lighting mood in a room. To put it simply: Dimmed light calms people down, while a well-lit room enlivens them. Using a dimmer such as the dimiTri® or the dimiDAL®, you can easily adjust the lighting mood to suit your needs. Complex lighting control systems offer even more options. We are happy to help.
